FirstCaribbean International Bank Jamaica Reviews

  • I went to Jamaica after 12+ years. Went to First Caribbean Bank Ocho Rios to update my Bank books and to get money to assist with a funeral.. I was told that one of the accounts was closed. the funds was taken for service charge and the other they were eating away the funds due to dormancy. When I left the bank 12 years ago I confirmed that the account was programmed as non- residence.. I requested to reactivate the account and I was refused. in the long run the account was closed and they gave me the balance on the account that was still open. the service was very bad. I would not recommend any one to bank with them. I went to Jamaica National in Brown's Town and the account there was also dormant but the service was different. I was told to email the document and account will be reactivate and dormant fees will be recredited to the account. When I got back to Canada an email was in my inbox from Jamaica National with the information I need to send them to activate the account. Wow! what a difference in service.
